David Richards

David Richards, former UK Chief of the Defence Staff, commanded operations in East Timor, Sierra Leone and Afghanistan, later leading NATO forces there. He was David Cameron’s military adviser and a National Security Council member between 2010 and 2013. David received the Distinguished Service Order for his service in Sierra Leone and an operational knighthood for his service in Afghanistan. He carried the Sword of Spiritual Justice at King Charles III’s Coronation.
