Douglas McWilliams

Douglas McWilliams sold the Centre for Economics and Business Research (Cebr), which he had founded thirty-five years earlier, in autumn 2024. Before setting up Cebr, he had been chief economic adviser to the CBI, chief economist for IBM UK and chaired the Economics Committee (now called Business Europe in Brussels). His best-known books are The Flat White Economy and The Inequality Paradox.
