Martin Westlake
Martin Westlake studied in Bologna and Florence and now lives part of the year on the Como lakeside where Mussolini’s remaining days were played out. He has amassed a wealth of original local material, including eyewitness accounts and interviews with local historians, and has stepped foot in the places described in this account. An author, academic and biographer, Westlake has written and edited over twenty books in various genres. He is married to Belgian artist Godelieve Vandamme.
