Richard Oldfield

Richard Oldfield is the author of Simple But Not Easy (2007; second revised edition, 2021), Fragments from Tin Boxes (2023) and a catalogue of the paintings of Christopher Oldfield (2023). He has written occasionally for the Daily Telegraph, The Independent, The Oldie, Country Life, Financial News and Literary Review. Richard is the founder of an investment firm, Oldfield Partners, and was the first chairman of Oxford University Endowment Management. He read history at New College, Oxford, where he is now a Wykeham Fellow, and is an honorary doctor of the University of Kent and of Canterbury Christ Church University. He has been a trustee of the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, the King’s Trust and other charities.
