When Michael Heseltine wrote his acclaimed autobiography, Life in the Jungle, he assumed his political career was over. He returned to Haymarket, his publishing business, and intended to explore more of the world and pursue his passions outside politics. His assumption was wrong. David Cameron called him, tentatively at first but gradually with increased responsibility, back to the corridors of power.

Join us for an evening with Lord Heseltine, a figure who has played a defining role in British politics for more than sixty years. As one of the country’s most prominent statesmen, he reflects on his remarkable political career, sharing new revelations about his time in Margaret Thatcher's cabinet, his role in John Major’s administration in the 1990s and his later return to the centre of power when David Cameron invited him back as an adviser.

This promises to be a comprehensive and thought‑provoking evening with a statesman whose influence has shaped national debate for decades.

Doors open at 6pm, talk starts at 6.30pm.
