Dan Conaghan's The Bank: Inside the Bank of England has been popping up everywhere this week.
From Dan's guest post on the Financial Times' Alphaville blog, where he called for a formal inquiry into British quantitative easing, to the series of interviews with Robert Miller, on the Bank of England's future, and whether it is fit for purpose, to the great response the book has been getting in general, the book has inspired praise and controversy in equal measure. Dan's predictions on the future of the Bank, especially that Lord Sassoon will be the future governor, have all got people talking.
The Bank of England have, of course, been less than pleased with the book, but Dan was quick to respond, saying 'I stand by the three years of research, the quality of my sources and the integrity of the book'. Those are the types of books we love to publish here at Biteback. Those which inspire debate.
