We're a supportive bunch here at Biteback. We don't get 'well jel' - a terribly addictive phrase which you may have recently picked up from The Only Way is Essex. That's right, I like TOWIE and politics and books, what of it? I also like Scarface because I'm still desperately attached to my first year student days when it was considered jocular to quote homicidal Puerto Rican drug dealers. Even if the film is the opposite of good.

I've digressed - we're very supportive here. And being that way we would like to offer our sincere congratulations to Alex Deane - formally of Big Brother Watch the organisation, forever of Big Brother Watch the book - who was yesterday elected as Common Councilman in the City of London. ConHome reported on this this morning aptly saying:

"Cry Freedom in the City. Let it scrub its DNA records, tear down any CCTV cameras happen to be in place, and steel itself for the full disclosure of the last drop of information..."

If the book, the name of his organisation or the nature of the above quote don't signal to you what Alex Deane is all about, (well, not all - that'd be denigratory) then there's really no hope for you.

You can, of course, buy his book here.

PS. I was going to make the title of this blog a quote from Scarface (for no reason what-so-ever) but I can't - can any of you logical readers out there guess why?
