You’d think after a tiring day publishing the cream of political non-fiction we at Biteback would all be rather knackered. And yes, there are nights which consist of little more than cooking a bowl of warm, cheesy pasta, arranging the sofa cushions for maximum comfort and, having avoided all websites and newspapers all day so as not to find out the result, settle down to watch The Apprentice (it’s no fun if you know what happens).

For those of you who desperately want to know what we do with our time when we don’t succumb to the siren call of The Apprentice, we can be found either reading one of our many great titles, keeping a close eye on the media in case one of our books gets mentioned or doing charity fun runs.

That’s right... high-quality political publisher by day, massive Santa by night.

One of the members of our team ran 5km (roughly, there was no measurement, so they just ran for 45 minutes) in this suit at the weekend to raise money for Amnesty International. But who was it you ask? Well, we’re not going to tell you, but we should probably say that it wasn’t Big Cheese, because if it had been it may have been covered by more than just the Friends of Kelsey Park newsletter (get your copy in the new year before they run out).
