Can't disagree with that. It even makes the grade as an actual word according to Biteback's Senior Editor (but he probably doesn't know what he's talking about). Pfft! "Senior Editor".
Peter Sissons popped in on Alan Titchmarsh yesterday to talk about his book When One Door Closes and a little bit about being the most hated man in Britain. Well, momentarily at least. Not the burgundy tie! Anything but the burgundy tie! I'm refering of course to the notorious wearing-a-burgundy-tie-on-national-television-when-announcing-the-death-of-the-Queen-Mother, moment.
I must confess, I didn't notice. But safe-to-say someone did, and Peter found himself at the heart of a media maelstrom as a result of one senior BBC journalist's decision on the day.
Peter relays this and many other great stories - including one about "a bit of Liverpool rough" - from the book in the interview which is available to watch on ITV Player now.
