Cover is anything happening cover

During a career spanning more than forty years, the award-winning journalist and broadcaster Robin Lustig has lived in, worked in and reported from more than eighty countries. He was in Berlin on the day Germany was re-unified, and in Moscow for the final day of the Soviet Union. He also met some of the world's most revered, and reviled, political leaders, from Nelson Mandela to the 'butcher of Bosnia', Radovan Karadzic. He presented live news programmes from more than twenty countries on every continent with the exception of Antarctica, as well as several special programmes to mark events such as the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, and the handover of Hong Kong to China.

To celebrate today’s publication of Robin’s memoir Is Anything Happening? My Life as a Newsman, we are thrilled to welcome him to Waterstones Piccadilly this evening. In conversation with Rosie Goldsmith, he will be discussing his life, the news and reflecting on the state of the world today.

This event is free but please RSVP in store, by telephone 020 7851 2400 or by email piccadilly@waterstones.com
